Distance Map When Planning Your Trip through Europe

Many people have asked me how long it takes to travel between cities- what should I plan for times. Well, heres a few resources when doing that. Remember the entire western Europe continent would cover the US from Florida to Maine, and then Maine to Kansas so about 2000 miles across, 3000 miles north to south give or take.

1. Check Mapquest if driving it on Europe’s chain of freeways and autobahn’s. Yes, the same site as the US one, with the same features. Mapquest Europe Site

2. If your taking the train, you can use the Deutsche Bahn’s travel planner. Your trip does not have to go through Germany for this to work, it has all of the train schedules throughout Europe. Yes it is in English! Europe train schedules Remember, city names do have to be in German for the system to recognize them.

3. Heres the brief rundown of the major cities:

-Munich-Berlin 6 hours

-Rome-Paris 14 hours

-Amsterdam-Paris 4-5 hours

-Paris-Berlin 8-9 hours

-Munich-Rome 10 hours

-Vienna-Paris 12 hours

-Paris-Madrid 12-14 hours

-London-Paris 2.5 hours

4. Check this map: (Red- train times)(Top number is miles, middle is KM between cities driving)
