Fashion of Oslo

Yes, Oslo is expensive but it’s very trendy. The big brand names aren’t more expensive than in London or Paris, but everyday shopping is definitely expensive by American standards. Here’s a quick guide to some of the key areas in Oslo (all you need to know):

•Bogstadveien: The most upscale shopping area in Oslo, trendy and swanky stores
•Karl Johan’s Gate: The most famous street in Oslo offers plenty of moderately and inexpensively priced shops.
•Downtown shopping centers: Oslo City, Byporten, Glasmagasinet and Paleet are all nice malls.
•Aker Brygge: The infamous pier offers cool shops and nightlife. Very nice in the summer as you can sit on the pier and enjoy the view.
