What Type of Traveler Are You?
Travelers around the world come in all different kinds and each have a variety of goals for their trips and their reasons for traveling. Most serious travelers fall into one of these categories, or are a combination of them. How would you categorize yourself?
Long Term Traveler/Vacationer- These are the type of people who make traveling one of the top priorities of their lives. When at home, they tend to work as much as possible and save most of their money for future travels. These travelers usually go away from 3, 6, or even a year at a time to a new country, anywhere from New Zealand to Asia. They get a lot out of their trips and plan them out accordingly to see as much as possible, also leaving some time to relax and spend time meeting new people. They budget well and usually don’t spend much on food or other expenses.
Workers Abroad- Those who have jobs that are on the internet or working from home are another type of traveler, because they can live and work wherever they choose to. Also, some people work in other countries teaching English, being tour guides, or anything in tourism.
Nomads- These people tend to be a combination of the above two types of travelers. Coming from all walks of life, nomads move from job to job and place to place whenever they feel like they need to see something new and exciting. Some nomads don’t even need to move from job to job because they have inherited wealth from their family and are exploring the world with this money.
