Punch Cards at NightClubs?

club

Many nightclubs in Europe use a punch card system as a way for partiers to keep track of their drinks and as an added convenience to not having to pull out cash throughout the night. But it is also a good way for these clubs to scam unsuspecting college kids. The way it works is a person entering the club receives a “full” punch card to keep with them. It must be presented upon leaving the club and paid for. When a person goes up to the bar to purchase a drink, the punch card is hole punched once, and again for each drink purchased. This is how they keep track. Seems simple enough. Just make sure you keep your card on you at all times. If you lose your punch card you could be looking at a tab of 50-100 euro at the end of the night. Also, bartenders are known to “double punch” cards when drunken people aren’t watching, so keep an eye out and be careful!
