Siena, Italy is most famous for it’s annual flag throwing competition. This takes place every year in the town’s most famous square the Piazza del Campo. Every other day you will find locals and tourists sitting in the center taking in the views and having a snack. You can stop in at a local meat shop for some “cinghiale” or wild boar or a cheese shop for some aged pecorino cheese. There are many vineyards lying outside of the city, mostly local family farms.
