Cortona ~ Where the Film “Under the Tuscan Sun” was Filmed
August 4th, 2008 • Related • Filed Under

About an hour south of Florence and right next to Arezzo lies Cortona. This quaint town in Tuscany is surrounded by hills and fields bursting with color. There are many churches here with frescoes by some of Italy’s most famous artists of the Renaissance period. Like many other Tuscan towns, Cortona is known for its wine and pecorino cheese (a specialty goat cheese). This is also the infamous town where the movie Under the Tuscan Sun was filmed.
