Top 10 Spoken Languages Around the World

According to Wikipedia Ethnologue French is ranked at #11 and Italian at #18. I would have thought French and Italian are spoken more around the world than Bengali and Portuguese, furthermore ranked at the top 5, but surprisingly not. We should also recognize how these languages have populated around the world and not only in the countries they are originally from.
